Assistive Technology

Assistive technology (AT) refers to any equipment or devices that support an individual with disability or injury to achieve their daily tasks and goals in an easier and safer way. Depending on your roles and life goals, Assistive technology can be applied to different settings such as your home, workplace and the community. 

You will benefit from an Assistive Technology assessment and service if you are:

  • Looking to replace an existing Assistive technology due to the change in your health condition or needs

  • Hoping to utilise the funding of Assistive technology in the current NDIS plan to achieve life goals

  • Requesting additional funding for an Assistive technology in the upcoming NDIS plan

  • Evaluating the right fit of preferred type of Assistive technology

To help you access the right assistive technology, our skilled and qualified team of Occupational Therapists will conduct a thorough assessment of your physical and cognitive capacities, needs, and preferences. This evaluation will enable us to identify the most suitable type of assistive technology for you.

We also help with prescribing Assistive Technology by exploring potential options that are within the funding range and completing equipment trials to ensure the best fit between the tool and your goal.

From there, we will provide further training and education to you and/or your caregiver on the recommended devices to ensure appropriate usage and reduce the make sure you are using in the right and safe way.

  • Pressure care aids such as pressure mattress, seat cushion
