Our Service
OT Assessments
A comprehensive Occupational Therapy Assessment is a prerequisite to begin any therapy program.
At Integral Occupational Therapy, our therapists will utilise different assessment tools to gain a thorough understanding of our clients, including their background, strength, needs and concerns. This allows us to know what works for our clients and what does not, and so that we can personalise an appropriate therapy plan to address their goals.
What tools do we use?
Our therapist uses a range of tools to gather information to build a comprehensive profile for our clients. This may include looking at how they participate in activities of daily living and the associated environment.
Here are some examples of the various tools we use:
Standardised and non-standardised assessment
Clinical and Home Observations
Client interview, or with their parents, teacher and/or carer if applicable
Sensory processing assessment
Support needs assessment
OT Assessment for children
After the assessments
After gaining a thorough understanding, our therapists will discuss with the clients(or parents of our child clients) on the specific goals for therapy and a personalised plan to move forward.
We understand that sometimes an OT assessment is required for the NDIS funding application purpose. Therefore, in case a report is needed, we will formulate the assessment results into a comprehensive report to not only indicate the strength and concerns of our clients but also to recommend the hours and funding needed for potential support and further intervention.
